Introduction
Newquay, Cornwall’s surf & holiday capital is also home to an excellent Male Voice Choir. The Choir has nearly 40 members.
The repertoire is varied and consists of music that is written (or arranged) for 4-part harmony and includes songs about Cornwall and its communities, barber-shop music, traditional arrangements of Choral, operatic and hymn tunes as well as a wide range of songs from the shows and modern popular songs.

The choir enjoys both singing in Cornwall and performing for audiences outside the county and has raised thousands of pounds for charity and good causes in the 30+ years since it was reformed.
Newquay has some excellent concert venues including the main churches of the different denominations, but the jewel in the crown has to be the Parish Church of St Michael the Archangel which was completely refurbished after a fire just a few years ago. The natural acoustics of the building make it a superb place in which to sing.
